Provide two examples of how the relationship works University of Phoenix Andrewella Johnson Gen/200-Instructor Nancy Hooper July 22nd, 2010 Providing two examples of how the relationship works We have our own set of values and ethics and we tend to criticize and attack and hold others responsible for any immoral actions. In any organization this also sets out specific behavior standards for members.
Mission, Vision and Values – Mission articulates the company’s purpose. Company values are discussed then the purpose of the organization which refers to what the organization intends to do. Purpose clarifies the organizational behavior individually and collectively. It is based upon what the organization values, instrumentally and terminally. A few examples are; the purpose of a school is to teach and its value is education and the purpose of business is to make profit because they value economic wealth.
If one wants to set strategic direction, understanding the value behind the purpose is fundamental. Most organizations govern themselves with a code of ethics in handling sensitive issues. These values may include valor, graciousness, responsibility, respect and human kindness and they also include those we show each other in the workplace which are respect, politeness, fair-mindedness and consideration and those that enhance our respect for diversity. People values are also expressed in their leadership which is through honesty, participation and communication.
Whatever values you have bring them to work with you. One must act with integrity and behave ethically as these are essential for individual careers, they can have devastating consequences.
