Adolf Hitler was a very skilled persuasive speeker, he was able to gain the trust of the audiences by portraying the image of trustworthiness, suggesting that he had great concern about the life and happisness of everyone. He was very personable, he used words like “we” and made the adience feel as though they played an important part in the success of their country. He repeated words like “peace” and “courage”. Hitler spends much time condemming the enemy while assuring the people of his own goodness.

When speaking about himsel,f he always indirectly attaches some positive attribute. He gives positive images of Germany, the Reich and himself, and he creates negative emotions when speaking of the enemy and uses reference like “them” or “they”. He keeps relatively still unless accentuating a point, then he would nod his head or make movements with his hands. He leads the listener into beleiving that Germany is justified in attacking its enemies because of how evil they are.

He states that neighboring countries need Germany’s guidance and help, and that he only wants peace. He praises the Reich and the German people, stating how surperior they are. He never comes right out and says that, “Jews are evil, therfore democaracy is evil” it is just implied. He was very skillful at developing hatred to certain groups. He gives his audience the desire to join their leader in the fight against the evil forces of the world. The delivery of his speeches had an amazing effect on his audience.
