I went out into the kitchen hoping my mother had made me a birthday breakfast as she usually did every year, only to find that she was watching that former Attorney General, Senator Robert Kennedy gave one of his first actions to break from President Johnson and his stance on the Vietnam War. I believe that this may be the start of his push for the presidential nomination. I love the Kennedy Brothers! March 16, 1968 Today is the first day of the rest of my life. This man’s numerous efforts have helped many racial minority families such as my own and I plan to repay him by help participate in his political campaign for in my community. Robert F. Kennedy’s campaign will bring hope and challenge to the American people troubled by discontent and violence, both at home and in the war in Vietnam. He has an agenda to bridge the gap between races, the rich and the poor, young and old and order and dissent. Robert F. Kennedy brings hope to our country. Kennedy stands by his beliefs of racial and economic Justice, non-aggression in foreign policy, decentralization of power and social improvement.

He engages with the young, such as myself and identifies with our future, suggesting that it will be equal and in union with one another. His thoughts and civil rights statements are frowned upon in the business world while he may be considered a fiscal liability to the rich and uncaring; he is considered a hero to middle class citizens such as me. April 4th, 1968 Martin Luther King, Jar. Has been assassinated and Kennedy’s campaign is about to go underway. He is in Indianapolis and scheduled to give a speech to a large crowd of Black supporters. Upon his arrival, no one has heard the ugly news of Dry.

King and you can tell that it hurt Kennedy to be the bearer of bad news. Kennedy went on ahead and informed the large black audience of King’s death, while cautioning them not to be “filled with hatred and distrust at the injustice of such an act, against all white people,’ for “Martin Luther King dedicated his life to love and to Justice for his fellow human beings, and he died because of that effort,” said Kennedy (Kennedy, 4 April 1968). Every major city in America had burned that night in rage of the murder of Dry. King except for Indianapolis.

Ref’s presence has surrounded this place with peace. Let’s say a prayer for a great leader that we have lost. June 5, 1968 I am so excited about to day.
