Going to college and graduating with a degree in a chosen field of study greatly increase the chances of landing a solid and stable job. Self-study habits and responsibility are two aspects commonly over look while attending an institution of high learning. Going to class and participating during each lesson is important but learning how to study by ones self and managing time is vital while working in the real world. Bosses do not care how or when tasks get done as long as it is complete and perfect by the deadline. The same goes with the assignments given by college professors.
The instructor may assign a project the first day of class and make it due by the final exam. He or she does not care if the student procrastinates till the week before the deadline; all they care about is having a completed assignment on their desk. A college student learns how to be responsible with the time that has been given to them. They figure out shortly that doing small portions of the assignment once a day is far less stressful and creates good study habits for the future. While at college students learn to live on his or her own and stop relying on their parents.
They figure out how to make important decision for themselves. Being social in college is valuable to the student’s life. Whether they rush for a Greek fraternity or sorority or participating in the schools athletics or clubs it gets the student out into society to meet new people. Everyone is different and learning to mingle and work together with others who might not always agree with same values is important. The knowledge that can be obtained from different people along the college road to graduation is an experience that cannot be replaced.
Working along side the professor during college is a great asset for the future. The college instructors have first hand experience on the topic they are teaching. They provide their knowledge and experience to give the student a step-up for his or her future job. Working with a team or group during college allows a student to become comfortable with functioning around colleagues all collaborating together for a specific goal. Being taught by a professional gives the student experience on how to instruct others in the future.
To be a boss one must first have the understanding of being a leader and knowing how to command employees for the well being of the company. The importance of a college education is vital for everyone’s future. Without a degree well paying job opportunities is slime and job security is almost non-existent. They lack responsibly for their action and usually care less for their minimum wage jobs. The friends made during college will never be forgotten. By not being instructed by a college professor non-college graduates do not obtain the passed down wisdom and understanding important for their future.
