I have a great interest in your psychological research in postgraduates growth. I have read a few of your previous publications, the one I found most to my interest is The culture of disclosure: Effects of perceived reactions to disclosure on postgraduates growth and distress in Japan. This publication really captured my interest because personally I have suffered through many stressful traumatic events that have impacted my life and not only my life but many others as well.
I have seen how many people react differently to highly stressful events, and watching that first hand as caught my interest into studying about postgraduates growth and reactions to traumatic events. Reading your publications and learning as much as I have in psychology, I wish to learn all that I can as your research assistant by helping you in your next research.
During my research experience I hope to enhance my learning in psychology and learn more about what we will be researching, I hope to gain an understanding of the methodological arrangements that are essential in organizing research, and a sense of fulfillment in following a project from start to finish. I believe this research experience will help me in my future career by getting my foot in the door to learn as much as I can about psychology, to also gain all the experience I can in the lab to achieve the next level of my education to be a future clinical psychologist.
Courses I have taken so far is Introductory Psychology and Developmental Psychology that I have taken at Oakland Community College. I am currently taking Psychology of Individual differences, here at Oakland University. I hope you consider me as your Research Assistant, although this is my first step into gaining experience in psychology, I am dedicated and very hardworking, especially because I have a great passion for psychology.
