What value systems are being portrayed and compared in this film? “Education Should Inspire and Not Despair ” Current education system is developing pressures on student’s head to the extent that some students end up by quitting. Basically, this movie covers the pressure that the students of higher education are facing because of high end expectation from their parents, colleges and faculties. One of the important issues covered in this movie is student’s suicide due to pressure and failure in fulfilling the expectations. As such kind of incidents are not good for the society, country and families.
Knowledge can’t be imparted at the cost of life. It is time for educational institutions to wake up and develop such methods of imparting education which creates curiosity and inspire the students to develop their talent and reach new heights. We are aware that Some institutions are doing this but there are also other institutions that make education a living hell to many students. Instead of creating a learning environment they apt to generate an environment full of pressure, building wrong impressions from the students. That’s why we sometimes think school is punishment, matter of faculty.
It is time for our educators also to wake up, as some of them transform the most interesting subjects into painful experiences. Parents sometimes also ruin the childhood of their kids by trying to achieve their personal dreams through their children. To achieve this, they coerce them which further move them towards insurgence. In this race, everybody in the system misses or skips the importance of knowledge and its practical usability in life and work. The essence of this movie is that instead of running behind degree and marks, we should focus on getting knowledge and evildoing skills through knowledge.
This will develop excellence in students and make them eligible to do their work more effectively and efficiently. Which of the 3 character in the film can you identify yourself? Some of the characters in the movie possess attributes I wish had rather than those I see myself as currently having. That said, there’s only one character I at one point identified a bit too much with, for better or worse. Rancho is far from the type of cinematic entity I would like to model myself after, but saw a lot of me in him albeit he was a male and I’m a female.
One of the attributes we have in common is that we value our friends. I consider my friends as my sisters and brothers. They are my family too. So always see to it that I will be of help whenever they need me. As they say, a good friendship creates a long lasting relationship. Very often we go by the set standards of the society and ignore our true passion as what is happening in our own country. Everybody is taking up nursing course because everyone does while their true passion is being set aside and forgotten. But this picture didn’t force me to follow what is in and what is not in the society.
I entered college because I want to not because my parents coerced me. I followed my dreams and passion which I know will lead me to the life I aspire to have. So, while choosing your career, instead of running behind money and glamour, choose that career which interests you more and for which you are more passionate. Most of us worry about the future and crib about past failures. Why not live and enjoy the present instead. I don’t give so much attention predicting the future because I know that if we choose to focus on doing our day to day work with enthusiasm, we end up positively influencing the future.
