Difficult to recall, isn’t it? If you are able to bring forth a recent memory of a full day in the absence of you cellular device, was it by choice or plainly because you had to? In today’s modern society of the twenty-first century, it’s a shame to admit among the youth of today. It is due to social media that we, the human race and most intelligent species on Earth, are now stricken with laziness and the inability to hold a conversation with a stranger.
With the rise of social scientific studies, excessive social media use is being linked to the creation of oncentration problems and underdeveloped emotional intelligence among youths, as well as the production of a society where intellectual and organizational skills are on the decline, while the occurrence of social isolation inclines at a shocking rate. 2) Beginning with a definition Distraction: that which divides and averts the attention, or prevents concentration. When someone reads the word ‘distraction’, many things may come to mind. Daydreaming, friends, escape, hunger, these are all synonymous things with distraction.
