Energy Systems Assignment

Energy Systems Assignment Words: 610

The Sport I will be doing this assignment on Is Basketball. The two drills activities I will explain are dribbling, and defending. The Lactic Acid System is the energy system being developed in drill 1. The energy system being used In drill 2 Is the Aerobic System. Section 1 There are three energy systems used when playing sport; TAP-CAP, Lilac Acid and Aerobic. The TAP-CAP System lasts 15 – 30 sec and it doesn’t require oxygen. The Lactic Acid System lasts for 30 sec -2 miss and has a limited supply. The Aerobic

System is our main source of TAP, It lasts 3 -? 5 miss and this energy system relies on oxygen to create TAP. My sport, Basketball, uses the Lactic Acid system and the Aerobic system as the two most dominant systems. In basketball, the TAP;CAP system Is used for Jump-shots, the Lactic Acid system is used for dribbling the ball and the Aerobic system is used for defending and running up and down the court. To develop the Lactic Acid Energy System, the drill will be dribbling and weaving. To develop the Aerobic Energy System, the drill will be defending, dribbling and young (No Jump shots). Action 2 The skill of Dribbling is developing In this drill. It uses the Lactic Acid Energy System. The intensity of the drill is medium-high, this matches the Lactic Acid energy system. When the player needs to dribble the ball from one side of the court to the other, this uses the Lactic Acid system because it is a medium-high intensity drill. It will take 2 minutes to finish the drill. It should take roughly 30 seconds to 2 minutes for the “athlete” to dribble the ball up the court. The glycogen in the “athlete’s” body Is Rosen down to TAP and Pyrrhic acid; the Pyrrhic acid will build up and will turn into Lactic acid.

The drill will have already used up the TAP-CAP stored in muscles and It will have to resort to Lactic Acid will the Aerobic System stores up the necessary TAP to continue exercising. The body uses all the energy systems during capacity. The main system used is the Aerobic System, The other systems are used when the aerobic system runs out and is storing more TAP to use. This drill develops the skill of Dribbling needed for Basketball. It also develops the Lactic acid energy system. Section 3 The skill of defending ;s developing In this drill. It uses the Aerobic energy system.

The intensity of this drill is low-medium and this matches the Aerobic energy system. When the “athlete” must defend the ball uses the Aerobic System because it requires constant attention and can last for at least 3 minutes. It should take at least 5 minutes to complete this drill. It should take roughly 3-5 minutes to defend the ball from one side of the court to the other and back again. The “athletes” fats are broken down into TAP and Pyrrhic Acid. The Pyrrhic acid Is then taken away by oxygen. The there systems are used when the aerobic system runs out and is storing more TAP to use.

This drill develops the skill of defending the ball needed for Basketball. It also develops the Aerobic Energy System. Section 4 – Conclusion t Off Lactic Acid, TAP-CAP and Aerobic, used in different sport; in my case, Basketball. The energy systems developed in the two drills were; Lactic Acid and Aerobic. The drills were planned because they demonstrated well two of the energy systems, one anaerobic and aerobic. This assignment shows 2 drills that were planned to develop specific skills and specific energy systems.
