The intrinsic characteristics f a teacher can be categorized into a few main teaching styles or leadership styles. Directing, participating, delegating, and combined styles are the main forms of teaching and leading. The qualities associated with these styles are necessary to any teacher. The purpose as benign teachers is fundamentally the same as leaders, to provide purpose, direction and motivation while operating to accomplish the mission in this case to educate. All four of these actions must be present in order for a student to benefit. A leader or teacher is not born, but cultured through his/her upbringing and environment.

A teacher’s personal characteristics are also crucial factor in students’ development and motivation. Effective leaders are flexible enough to adjust their leadership styles and techniques to the people they lead. The “with-it-news” of the teacher makes the student learn or care about the subject. Another remarkable leader is the untouchable Martin Luther King Jar. The greatness of Martin Luther King Jar. Is shown everywhere. Nearly every major city in the U. S. Has a street or school named after him. It is a measure of how sorely his achievements are misunderstood that most of them are located in black neighborhoods.

Three decades after King was gunned down on a motel balcony in Memphis, Teen. , he is still regarded mainly as the black leader of a movement for black equality. That assessment, while accurate, is far too restrictive. For all King did to free blacks from segregation, whites may owe him the greatest debt. He liberated them from the burden of America’s centuries-old bigotry about race. It is only because of King and the movement that he led that the U. S. Can claim to be the leader of the “free world” without inviting smirks of contempt and disbelief. Had he and the blacks and whites that marched beside him failed, vast sessions of the U.

S. Would have remained morally similar from South Africa under separation, with terrible consequences for America’s standing among nations. While these are only two examples, leaders are ubiquitous in this world. Franklin Roosevelt, Ben Franklin, and even a simple military man who is in the Army to serve this country. All people can become a leader in any shape or form, but it is the people who stay a leader and continue to influence others, which makes a substantive impact on society. These are the people who take on leadership as an action, not a position.
