The United States reacted to an attempt by the Japanese to siege the border of China. They started an oil embargo in an attempt to decelerate Japan’s advances into China. Embargo, Imperialism, and Oil trade. So why did Japan attack Pearl Harbor? One reason for the attack was Imperialism. Because the United States froze the bank accounts of Japan it caused them to not be able to move money and stocked the flow of oil which prevented the expansion the new order. Pleases they will lift the ban on trade which will continue to low of petroleum.
In two years they would have ran out of oil and all ships will stop moving in Japan. The prime minister feels as though that if they pull out of China that the country will have lost billions of yen and over 100,000 men with no reward, the country will fall into a third-class nation. But at the same time if they don’t they will run out of oil and they will also not have made any progress toward the new order. This caused Japan to attack because they did not see another way to come out on top without attacking Hawaii.
Although there were probably other reasons for the Japanese attack, for example, nationalism, these were the three main reasons.
