The movie begins with the young Colonel John Patterson being assigned to build a bridge over a river to extend the African railroad. When he gets there, he meets the leaders of the camp, like Samuel, who keep order and keep the workers working on the railroad. At first, the work is going ahead of schedule and the work is going on great. But there is soon a grave turn of events; two lions start attacking the camp and kill many of the workers, and work stops on the bridge. During the rest of the movie, the lions start terrorizing the camp, and the workers refuse to work and leave Toast.

At the end, Colonel Patterson enlists the help of Remington, and kills the two lions, after many sacrifices and many risks. Eventually, the work resumes on the bridge and everyone is happy. The main characters in the movie were based on real people, because the movie was based on true events, and the characters, like Colonel John Patterson were mostly accurate in their big aspects. They ever also accurately portrayed in their sequencing and their time frame and context. The lions were also real, be because they actually terrorized people in Toast in the time period.

The movie avgas set in 1898 in Toast, Kenya. They place was depicted correctly, because at the time, Toast was just a railroad place, where the workers camped and worked on the railroad. The movie correctly portrayed the railroad workers correctly, Movie Critique The movie the Ghost and the Darkness was directed by Stephen Hopkins and produced by the trio of Gale Hurt, Paul Radian and A. Kitten Ho. Some top actors in the movie were Vial Killer and Michael Douglas. It was released in the year 1996.

I watched this movie during my European History class as well as on a flight last week. It a color movie that was relatively short and was about a fictional Tory that was related to the toast man eaters who delayed the Kenya-Uganda railway and are now on show in the Chicago Museum The movie starts off with Colonel John Patterson being assigned to build a bridge to help continue the African railroad. While in the camp he meets many different people who are assigned to help him complete the task within the timeline.

At first the bridge is going ahead of schedule but then twat lions start attacking the whole camp and work on the bridge stops due to the workers fright. Over the course of the movie many people are killed by the pair Of lions While John tries to find a way to kill them. In the end through many sacrifices, he is finally able to kill the 2 lions and set peace to the camp and get the construction back on schedule. In the epilogue he comes back to Africa near the bridge with his wife and children.

There are no real events in the passage Other than there verb twat lions Who killed many during the construction of the African railroad.. No characters in the movie were based on real people but the lions were based off the Man Eaters of Toast which are held in the Chicago Museum. This was a real event that was portrayed in the movie. The portrayal of the event was done properly. The director decided to leave out real people in the movie in order to bring out original elements into the movie. The movie is set in 1898 Africa near Toast.

For the time period Toast and the culture there was depicted correctly-something done well in the movie was the distinction tot races as all the workers there were envious of the white man due to their presence over them. There is also conflict between the races forsakes which was portrayed well. In my opinion the film was alright, The beginning of the film was very good hut I felt that towards the diddle it got somewhat boring because all that happened was people died while John wasn’t able to kill the 2 lions.
