One must keep into consideration that a lot of international employees easily get hired from renowned hospitals and health care systems worldwide because of their highly improved grammar in speaking and writing English. On contrary, a group of people denies with the fact that English is only important in business related fields and not in any scientific fields. But I disagree with their point of view and I would like to add here that if a nurse is working within an English speaking country, he/she must have a command of the English language.
They must be able to communicate with coworkers, staff, patients, and family members. And last but not the least foreign nurses who gain a thorough and flexible mastery of English are more likely to win good positions and be promoted than those who don’t. I agree with the statement that English is as important as other languages in nursing profession and improving ones English will help one clearly understand the ideas, core values and even traditions of people one encounter from a different race, culture or religion.
