Some said in the Voice of Yahoo, a website, that one of the pros of Faceable is that they can communicate with their families that are far from them, another one said that, by just having the name of your friend that you don’t really know that much, you can gain access to their Faceable account by just searching their name and you may able to know more about them and by chatting with them, you can get to know each other better and here are also some corresponding Cons or disadvantages like people that are assuming to be friends with the person they add on Faceable so they can boast to other people that they are updated with the daily life of that person and are really close to that person. Faceable is a good way of connecting to other people, and it has evolved not only for communication but also for using its applications for playing, which is a good past time for its users. But it can present bad thing too. For example, when oh start to like the things that you can do in the site, there would be a big tendency for you to keep on logging onto your profile for updates or to play games. That’s alright. What makes it bad is that there is a big tendency for people who cannot control themselves to unnecessarily log onto their profiles even in time of work or class, which can result to distraction from what the person should do.

Students get addicted to Faceable because in there, they can mingle with their friends or play the games they want, instead of studying and doing their assignments, which, clearly is a bad thing because the dents are already wasting time and not using time properly. But there are also a lot of advantages that students can get from from Faceable. In Faceable, sharing of files or information needed in school works is possible. Students can communicate with each other and they can create a group page where they can post their concerns, reminders, and assignments. In OIC, it is guaranteed that there are Faceable users in this University because Faceable is worldwide and almost everyone in the world owns a profile in the said site.

Although ICC doesn’t make their Wi-if available to all their students, he students can still find different ways on accessing the internet, either by broadband or going to the nearest internet cafe, as something to do during their past time in their long breaks or after school. Faceable can be considered by the students as a way to relax, but too much of it may lead to less productivity and distraction from studies. Statements of the Problem This study aims to find out what second year college students studying Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Section B, in the University 01 the Immaculate Conception on the First Semester of Academic Year 013-2014 think about the social networking website Faceable.

Moreover, this study aims to answer the following questions How often do students use the social media Faceable According to the students, what are the advantages and disadvantages of the use of the social media Faceable Are there more disadvantages than advantages to the usage Of Faceable according second year college students studying Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Section B, in OIC Significance of the Study The proponents of this study believed that gaining knowledge about the perception of second year college students regarding Faceable could create gig impact once put to good use. For one, it could reach the developers of the social networking website Faceable and may become a doorway to improved advancements and services to the students advantage. Also, gaining knowledge about the perception of second year college students regarding Faceable could become an eye-opener to schools and universities and make them more proactive and empowered towards guiding their students on better and more productive utility not only of Faceable, but also of the entire World Wide Web.

The above mentioned possibilities are just some of what ay transpire once this research is put to good use. Moreover, the proponents believed that this study is of great help to the following Administration. This study could become an eye-opener to the administration of schools, colleges and universities and lead them to hold regular educational seminars, activity programs, and information dissemination in regards to Faceable. This study could present to parents some or a lot of things about Faceable, a medium their children often use nowadays, and guide the parents to create necessary actions with their child/children in regards to the utility of the said website. Students.

The proponents of this study believe that this study is most beneficial to the students because through this study, students hear what their fellow students think about Faceable. The proponents also believe that this study is beneficial to students because this study presents the pros and cons of Faceable, which could serve as a guide to the students regarding the social networking website. This study could be of great help to the users of Faceable because the users get to see what second year college students think about Faceable, which presents perceptions about the website that are eased from first-hand experience. Users then could make use of this study to help and guide them in regards to the elitist of the website. Developers of Faceable.

The proponents of this study believed that the developers of Faceable could benefit from this study because this study present what second year college students think about Faceable and this study could lead to them to develop new changes about the website and make the website more helpful to students in regards to the betterment of their education.
