Alexander Sullen brought a vial of (currently legal) MADAM to his psychologist colleague Leo Jeff, urging him to observe its effects. After testing it Dry. Jeff recognized the therapeutic value of MADAM and put off his nearing retirement to spread awareness of this new drug to fellow therapists around America (Rowel Leo Jeff Vault ). Unfortunately it was banned Just a few years later.

The Idea’s Drug Control Section began collecting information on MADAM after Texas senator Lloyd Bents wrote to them requesting the scheduling of It due to concerns about Its abuse in rave culture. ( Why MADAM Should Not Have Been Made Illegal) A group of scientists filed for a hearing discussing the possible medical applications of MADAM, but after a study was released claiming that repeated use of MADAM causes holes to form in the brains of rats it was quickly named a schedule one drug.

Even though this study has now been shown to be false (it was actually methamphetamine being legitimately introduce it into the psychotherapeutic world, MADAM must be reclassified as a schedule 2 or lower, causing a major issue for those who want to use it for medical purposes. In recent years MADAM has slowly been reintroduced to the psychotherapeutic oral, largely fueled by the MAPS association. MAPS has been systematically studying the effects of MADAM over the past several years, learning more about how to safely use it and creating a method practice in regards to therapy.

The process itself is a rather novel method of therapy that combines the currently used methods of psychotherapy and CAB (cognitive behavioral training) with the administration of the drug MADAM. Unlike normal therapy the drug is taken under complete supervision during a session, instead of a prescription given to cope with aliments between sessions as current medications are. The patient is administered a dose of MADAM, and then proceeds therapy as usual, except that it lasts about 8 hours, until the effects of the drug wear off (MAPS. Investigators Brochure).

The idea behind this therapy is that the patient will be much more receptive to therapy while under the effects of MADAM, due to the drugs reduction of activity in the fear processing centers of the brain in combination with increased activity in thought analysis centers of the brain and increased openness and trust displayed by recipients. In this state the patient is much more open to bringing up painful memories and facing the fear ether than finding ways to avoid it, as people with PITS often do. The therapist guides the patient to help them face their fears, and deal with them in a rational way to enable them to let them go.

According to Dry. Michael Mother (a therapist in association with MAPS) it is hardly ever necessary to bring up the painful memories behind the patients PITS, as they often surface and deal with themselves on their own as a result of the medicine (MOTHER, MICHAEL). The extent that MADAM seems to help people with serious PITS is nothing short of astounding. Many who have already gone through extensive therapy and tried every restriction available with no avail report that after undergoing therapy session with MADAM their PITS symptoms all but vanished.

One such example is Nick G. , a veteran who served in the Marine Corps. After getting released from the military due to a “stress condition” in 1945 (this was before PITS was a recognized disorder) he began to have panic attacks that became more and more frequent. “It felt like I was losing control of my mind, and I could not get a hold of any one thought. I would try to think off pleasant thought and hold on to that, but it was useless. I felt like a living time mob that was ready to explode. (Nick G. ” He became addicted the prescription drug Valid, because nothing else would relieve his symptoms. “The only thing that would relieve it was Valid. “l was told by my doctors to cut down on it, and try to take it as little as possible get off it. When I attempted this, it caused the attacks to become longer in duration and more intense. Also, after being without the Valid for a short while, it would take more Valid to subdue the attacks–when they began the next time–then I was taking originally, so I felt like I was Just spinning my wheels (Nick G. )”

He was in the grips of PITS, and couldn’t foresee his life turning for the better. “l was going through “a living hell. ” That’s the only way I can describe it (Nick G. )”. His life reached a low when he began lashing out violently in his sleep. “So I lived with this not understand what was happening. I would have these nightmares, where in one instance she woke me up and I had her by the throat. She could not understand what was happening; nobody could. (Nick G. )” A few years later a friend of his came to him and suggested trying MADAM to help him overcome his PITS.

Having nowhere else to turn, he decided to give it a try. The first thing that happened was that I felt one of these anxiety attacks coming on, and I felt that something really bad was going to happen next,” says Nick, “So I then started to look for the door–but I did not make it very far because I could not move very fast under the influence of this MADAM. (Nick G. )” He became afraid that he was going to lose control, and possibly hurt someone in the room. “Then I saw a vision of God. I knew that I was had nothing to worry about.

I also felt a movement of some kind in my head–it was as if my brain Jerked. I was able to relax. At that point, I completely laxer. All the tensions had left me, and I felt that I had never relaxed this way in my life. (Nick G. )” He awoke the next morning, feeling as he hadn’t felt since before the war. “I Just couldn’t believe it. I Just couldn’t believe that all this had happened to me. And I was showing my friend, who was aware of my condition, that my hip was better. I was poking and pounding it, and there was no pain!

My friend was well aware of my condition– in fact he had driven me to the hospital when I had lost the feeling in both of my legs and could not walk. I was on “cloud nine. ” I was not expecting anything, and all this had happened. I could not believe it. Then I went to reach for a cigarette. Before I could pick it up, I could taste it mentally and it made me nauseated. So I did not smoke a cigarette for the rest of the day. That night I got to bed around 11 o’clock, and slept through the night until 7 the next morning.

This was the first time I have slept clear through the night without interruption since the war. (Nick G. )” Years later he was still free from his EST., all from a single time taking MADAM. Nick is not alone in finding relief from the horror of PITS in MADAM. There are any other reports of life changing experiences on MADAM on the MAPS website, and even more across the internet. Most of these people had already undergone extensive therapy and were addicted to the mind numbing drugs that are currently used to suppress PITS before they gave MADAM assisted psychotherapy a try.

Consistently, these people felt that a great weight had been lifted from their shoulders, and felt a greatly reduced urge to take the drugs that previously were not an option. And many of them never took MADAM more than 3 times, staying cured of their psychological ailments for years to come. Ones who have undergone the harpy express their disbelief that his drug is so demonic and misunderstood in our society, after having experienced its healing potential for themselves. “Why did I have to break the law to receive this healing? Why did I have to take such risks?

My preference would have been to be with my therapist in a safe setting. (Lisa)” reports Lisa, a woman who experimented with MADAM in hopes it would relieve her PITS from childhood sexual assault. With such profound results and extensive research to back it up, it is a wonder that MADAM has not yet found its way into psychotherapy. There is little denying that it is effective. Current drugs that are used in the treatment of PITS such as Zloty and Approach do not truly cure it but merely temporarily to serious addictions like in Nick G. S case. Not only that, but they come with a plethora of side effects including sleepiness, nervousness, insomnia, dizziness, nausea, skin rash, headache, diarrhea , loss of appetite, dry mouth, weight loss and more. It doesn’t seem farfetched to think that one of the reasons contributing the resistance to MADAM treatment is the fact that pharmaceutical companies make considerably more money off of drugs that they can patent and that cause the user to come addicted, forcing them to buy that companies product for possibly their entire life.
