For instance, many psychological and human behavior experts presume that students who prefer charts, graphs, and diagrams over textual material are visual learners. This paper is going to present findings on the kinds of learning styles I predominantly possess. These learning styles are determined by scientifically approved tests, which serve as inventories where students can obtain information about learning behaviors. Furthermore, the paper will act as a critique of the findings about my learning styles as predicated by the online inventories.
Enrolment to college affords students the opportunity to obtain knowledge and skills relevant in the careers they aspire to have. In addition, college education also improves the skills of those individuals already in the work Orca by broadening their theoretical knowledge – which can be exploited to generate new ideas. In this case, am no exception. I joined college to obtain a degree certificate. By obtaining this degree certificate, I am confident that my chances to land the job or profession I desire are high than if do not have it.
The high chances are because the degree certificate ascertains that I met all the requirements and threshold needed to qualify one for a particular field or profession. Therefore, the knowledge of how best learn is invaluable in the pursuit of my career. This is because the knowledge reveals my threatens and weaknesses in matters that concern learning. Therefore, am able to know where I need to adjust, increase efforts, or less concentrate on while learning. According to the learning styles inventories, I am an auditory visual learner.
For instance, the learning style inventory of Boxier rates me as visual learner (Boxier, 2010). Therefore, my learning would be more effective if use educative materials with a lot of visual representations. Similarly, findings from an index of learning styles made by Barbara A. Solomon and Richard M. Feller of North Carolina State University reaffirm me as a visual learner ( Solomon & Feller, 2010). Totally agree with these findings considering that usually find images helpful in making me understand most of the abstract concepts and terms encounter in class.
In fact, tend to remember easily those learning materials that included pictures than the learning materials that were text only. Often, I am good at remembering the faces of people than their names. In conclusion, the awareness of how best one learns helps one to understand the type of methods to use in learning. Inherent benefits include time saving, focused learning, and helping one to remedy his/her weaknesses. The reason for enrolling in a college is to get certified as being qualified to practice or being authoritative in a certain field or profession.
