Throughout my life, I have been driven by the desire to create and innovate, a capability that is always known to transcend the active acquisition of knowledge. In this era of globalization, I cited not to just get enthralled by the technological marvels, but to play my part in it. In view of such global scenario, decided to pursue Master’s degree in Management Studies as it would open the gateway to enhanced career options leading to top position in corporate world. The path, to realize the dream of being a part of globalize world, will no doubt be tough, but full of challenges, which I willfully accepted.

Finance, as a field, had always fascinated me right from my undergraduate college days. I have always enjoyed and been strong in areas that require problem solving, analytical and thematic skills, and I was anxious to combine the knowledge of, and aptitude for, these skills with my interest in finance. With these skills I joined Masters in Management Studies and specialized in Finance. During my college days I realized I have an easily approachable personality. I was appointed as the Public Relations head for the inter-collegiate Technical Festival at under-graduate level.

This was the first time ever was introduced to public relations and its omnipotence. After my graduation I appeared for my post-graduation entrance exam, and had a couple of rounds of interviews. The interviewer of the Personal Interview round, had been a visiting faculty in my college. After my interview round, she asked me if she knows me, and I affirmed that she had visited my college and I was the host for the program she had conducted in my college. This was the first time I realized had a personality people will not forget easily.

After seeking admission in Masters of Management Studies in one of the top 15 colleges in Iambi, presentations, group discussions became a part of day to day activity. And I would never shy away from the crowd. I am a trained classical dancer and was enrolled in the lasses at a tender age of four. This helped me to get rid of any stage fear I would have possessed. After post graduating I joined Norma Services India Ltd. Where I would be in constant touch with the Traders in the London office. Though was new to the organization I realized the traders gave me the preference for their operational queries.

I always had an urge to work with an Indian company. Hence, I left Norma Services India Ltd and joined Infrastructure Development Finance Company, an Asset Management Company. Here am a part of sales team working with the Products team. As e need to be in Costa touch with our distributors, I have never interacted with anyone before for sales. But after my first interaction, I realized the distributors remember me. This is where I could trace my fascination for public Relations (PR) influence my interest in the same, which developed slowly and steadily into a career option.

I was also introduced to the dynamic and metamorphic consumer market as well as the PR scenario in India. I realized the need to adapt my career angle to suit its ever-changing needs. As the Indian PR scene is fast starting to resemble the PR scenario in the developed world. There is a growing recognition Of the need to co-relate the traditional outlook towards public management with the systematic organization and execution of effective communication programs to keep in lieu with present trends. PR are required not only by the Advertising agencies.

Financial firms, Operational firms have specialized PR divisions to offer diverse communication services to their clients. Over the years, several PR agencies have also been set up in India. Many PR agencies such as BMW Roger Peppier, C.V. Sandwich and Genesis PR have opted for tie-ups with foreign companies to globalize their operations, increasing the demand for a wholesome communication package other than just advertising. To my mind, a real career in Public Relations cannot be made until one studies it, not purely for its academic appeal but in the hope that it will shed light on the best road ahead.

Since the excellence of corporate communications lies in its effectiveness, there is certainly a need for academically trained professionals who are taught to be more strategic and technologically competent. However, Public relations in India is only 25 years old and is still struggling with a growing demand for its transition into a more professional and desired spelling of business. Except for a few part-time study programs, offered by median private institutions, there is very little development of PR as a separate and specialized academic and practical field of study in India.

Since Canada is a country known for its schools and advanced media systems, find the need to train myself in a specialized institute in the Canada – one that will consider my knowledge as a stepping-stone to higher education, and help me expand my horizon. I like learning new skills and acquiring up-dated information, because they can help me adapt the fast-changing world, enrich my experiences, explore my interest, and give me higher self-esteem as am a valuable person. In addition, a job with a bright prospect gives me incentives to improve myself. Thus, as come more experienced and knowledgeable, I can pursue a higher level of career and help others.

This is my true happiness. For instance, I am now volunteering in an on campus organization, Job Web, in which I am responsible for posting jobs on the World Wide Web, answering questions and making information handouts. I am interested in this job because I can learn how to use a software program, can improve my interpersonal skills by answering students’ questions, and can enrich my research experience. These skills are valuable because can use them in future. I can feel myself to become more productive and knowledgeable.

In short run, after graduating from the Master degree, I will work in an IT related industry, either in a consulting firm or financial institution, as a system analyst or a consultant. Moreover, in my private time, I will attend a computer-programming course in order to continuously update myself and become more competitive. In long run, when I have gathered enough managerial and analysis skills and experiences, plan to have my own consulting company. Therefore, attending a Master Science program definitely can smooth my path to pursue my goal.

The program can deepen expertise and broaden my perspectives. Moreover, the MIS option can help me to specialize my skills in IT areas that I have not yet learned from my undergraduate degree. Since I have been in KIT for four years, I am familiar with and have confidence in the faculty professors whom I believe can help me become an IT professional. In preparing the Singing Competition, I followed up my embers’ tasks very strictly and did not accept their idea very often.
