Here he compares it to the point that people that follow being governed by the king should keep being governed by the king, like Just because a child has bloomed because of milk doesn’t mean that for the rest of his life he needs to drink only milk and not eat meat to grow. Once again Thomas Paine personifies Great Britain which clearly states that they have not protected America to help them out but for their own benefit.
