If we do not do anything about it what we call as our today we will be saying was our planet yesterday. If global warming continues and temperatures continue to rise then it will be enough to have the polar caps all but melted. If this happens majority of Americas border will be under water including the famous city New York. Monuments and great building, as well as homes and lives will be lost forever, unless we all work together and take action to stop global warming today! Know we are all concerned about the effect global warming we can feel its affects on a daily basis.
Yes we have heard it all before, but what can we do as individuals do to help save our planet? If everyone made some minor changes in their life than it we will have already started in saving our planet. Australia is particularly vulnerable to global warming environmentally and economically. We already live on the driest inhabited continent on earth. We are already experiencing more severe droughts in the bush, and water shortages in our cities. Victoria faced some of the worst bushfire on record.
Professor David Karol from the University of Melbourne school of earth sciences discusses how the record heat waves and prolonged drought prior o February 2009 bushfire in Victoria could be linked directly to global warming. We can stop global warming, but only by making major reductions in the amount of greenhouse pollution we create. To cut pollution we need to drastically change the way we use and produce energy. Individuals, businesses and governments need to become much more energy efficient and stop wasting energy. And we need to move to clean, renewable sources of energy.
If everyone planted a tree this would help keep our planet cooler, and protest against the demolition of forests. If we all walked short distances instead of driving this would cut down a lot of pollution going into the air and you will be getting the exercise our body needs. Sub’s make 6 times their body weight in CO each year where as normal efficient cars make 1 third less. If everyone tried their hardest toasty away from buying imported good it would also help because the less imported good the less pollution getting released into the air by airplanes and boats. Do not stock up the cupboards with things you may or may not use.
Reuse whatever you can, like containers and paper, recycle whatever you cannot reuse, reduce reuse recycle something we should always remember. The last step in saving our planet is to turning off unused sources of power such as televisions and heaters will also help the environment and save you money, instead of adjusting the heating wear a jumper. If everybody stuck to these rules, we would be doing a great thing by protecting our planet. So please take into consideration what I have suggested and together we will try our best to do our part. After all it will be the next generation to feel the effects we could change.
