States has started trying to make machines that will help reduce the pollution in the air which will help the environment. One way the United States has tried stopping air pollution and that is to create a solar powered machine which decreases air pollution. But also there are some ways that the people of the United States can help stop air pollution. Air pollution affects the health of people in a major way. The presence of carbon monoxide in the air we breathe causes headache nausea and suffocation. Tuberculosis, bronchitis and asthma are common in our country due to poor air quality.
Dust in air causes asthma and allergies. In winter days fogs containing particulate matter causes bronchitis and cough. A lot chemical industries such as manufacturing acids, plastics, dyes and paint, paper, pesticides, produce hazardous smells and gases such as sculpture dioxide, nitrogen oxides, hydrocarbons and fluorocarbons. Another way is to stop buying cars that use gas and buy electric or a hybrid which doesn’t take that much gas. When you do that it will suit people’s needs but even if no top notch car it will still satisfy your needs. We could also maintain air quality that we need for better air.
But did you know transportation sources such as cars, trucks, buses, ships and trains account for 90% of the cancer risk associated with air pollution. Then fifths higher the risk of cancer people should be more concerned with the environment. But with all of these chemical substances floating around in the air it’s easier to get cancer. All of these chemical substances can be avoid but with the substances being produced by activities such as the using of vehicles which produce smokes causing the air pollution and factory activities such as producing the tires and fake animal skin.
But if people want to stop this problem its mainly because they probably gain more concern because they people that do gain concern go green just to help the environment. When growing plants the Plants can reduce the air pollution by producing the oxygen which is very important for human life to breathe. Another solution is that the United States should limit factories how much they should make a year because less smoke means less pollution. Also that would be sort of a bad thing but if we had less pollution we would have more air.
Such as recycling and reusing things like plastic bags so we don’t waste the plastic items. Doing the recycling go green way will help in getting the environment in a better place. Another thing that will help the environment get different type of gas for cars that is harmless to the environment. But some ways that we can help the environment are to sometimes ride a bike instead of a car. Doing that will do well for the environment and you because you are getting a good workout. But a substance in the air that can be harmful to humans and the environment is known as an air pollutant.
Air pollutants are the gases such as carbon dioxides. Which mainly come from factories and cars. Air pollution can be spread volcanic eruptions which send sulfur dioxide, tons of ash, and soot into the air which mixes with water vapor to form acid rain. Dirt particles can also be carried to the atmosphere during wind erosion. This happens in areas with less vegetation where soil cannot be held together. Such as on islands for an example Hawaii. People get exposed to air pollution to just outdoors. Even in our houses and workplaces, air pollution can also occur. This is known as indoor pollution.
But indoor pollution is not as bad as outdoor pollution. The health risk air pollution presents depend on the type of chemical our bodies were exposed to. It can either be short-term or long-term. Also things that bring in pollution are just around that you wouldn’t expect such as a greenhouse. Greenhouses produce gases that warm up our environment which could lead to global warming. Greenhouse gas is gas that gets trapped inside around the plants. When it lets off heat into the environment that is what leads to the warming of the earth or what we call global warming.
Global warming is when earth’s temperatures rise above average temperature. We can stop this by limiting the energy we use at home by turning off lights when you are not in the room and also could recycle all paper, plastic, glass and aluminum cans. Some primary pollutants are produced by human activity include sulfur oxides, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, organic compounds, matter, toxic metals like lead, cadmium and copper, chlorofluorocarbons, foul odors (from garbage, sewage and industrial processes) and radioactive pollutants.
Also secondary pollutants include particulate matter formed from gaseous primary pollutants and compounds in photochemical smog. Cleaning these pollutants come from the stuff we make in factories. A process that the united States could do is less industrialization to prevent this. Well the United States doesn’t need to overtake the stuff they create. For an example paint, hair spray, varnish, aerosol sprays and other solvents. Mainly because if we didn’t have those it wouldn’t cause waste in the future.
