Going to college is analogous to working in a matrix environment in that most students take more than one class and must distribute their time across multiple classes. Weak matrix: there is a formally designated project manager responsible for coordinating project activates. Functional managers call most of the shots and decide who does what and when the work is completed. Balanced matrix: classic matrix in which the project manager is responsible for defining what needs to be accomplished while the functional managers are concerned with how it will be accomplished.
The functional managers are responsible for assigning personnel and executing their segment of the project. Strong matrix: it attempts to create the “feel” of a project team within a matrix environment. The project manager controls most aspects of the project, including scope trade-offs and assignment of functional personnel. The functional manager has title over his/her people and is consulted on a need basis. 2. For completing the project, the formal project management structure and the culture of the parent organization are all equal and important. They have to interact to get the best result. . 1). The situation for a student is, he/she has to take not only one class at the same time which is the same as the worker has to finish the multiple works in one time. 2). It easily affects the performance, high quality performance always require a longer time. Flaw project comes with a short time. So it’s very important to follow the processes step by step. 3). In my opinion, the first, follow the processes step by step to avoid the work compile together. Secondly, try to schedule the time and let the work be done more effectively. Third, prepare for the best performance any time.
