Review of initial reflection and PDP Significant Change Over the past few years my outlook towards studies has altered vividly. In all the previous years of my life I have been in education were I was not mindful of anything other than school. However in an attempt to discover the way to what my passion Is. I went on to university to study my hobby of beauty, which I discoed that was not a long my long term interest and I dropped out in the second year of the course.
And went on to work In a financial company. That experience assisted me to learn my true interest in the business sector, after a year working and out of education I decided to turn to studying business management as It will Increase my chance to a better position in life. Issues Noted In Initial Reflection As noted in my initial reflection report, I have been dyslexic since a young age, which as taking me a long time to understand and accept the effects of been a dyslexic person.
Dyslexia as has taken a tremendous affect in my education by disturbing my reading, writing and Information receiving methods, I am always trying to improve and activate my reading and writing skills to maintain a sufficient academic level in order to effectively write reports, assignments and answer essay questions. Also another area which needs Improvement Is my researching skills In order to extract effective information.
Issues Noted In Initial Plan In order to be able to complete all my semesters effectively I will need to concentrate on all aspects of my modules, to do that I will need to ensure I read extensively Into all my modules topes to ensure I extracts the best information to be able to produce a great quality of work. As I have mentioned In my Initial reflection concerning my dyslexia which means that I will need to improve my attention span and take full advantage of my listening skills.
As I have been out of education for a year this has a large affect in my academic abilities confident, however as high achiever in my business study course in college this has given me the advantage and knowledge to the current course. Areas of learning for personal development I believe that the areas of learning in which I will mostly be benefiting from during this course will be my research and analytic skills to an academic level, and also gain the knowledge of what reading materials that are appropriate to use within the breakdown of academic materials and how to extract and analyses data methods, which can be applied to all assignments. There than school. However in an attempt to discover the way to what my passion is. I went on to work in a financial company.
