They obtain practical ideas by reading publications such as Supervision; they broaden their knowledge about business by scanning publications such as Business Week and Fortune; and they stay in touch with what’s happening in the corporate world by reading the business section of their local metropolitan newspaper or even scanning selected portions of the Wall Street Journal.

Here’s some valuable advice: Talk to a couple of managers and ask them what they read, and what they recommend you read. They’ll be impressed, and you’ll gain some valuable information!
