You forget to mark your calendar and miss the meeting. The group posts a summary of the meeting with assignments and deadlines for the project. You apologize to the group and agree to complete the topic research for the project.

You realize you have a paper due in another course on the same day that your Reese rich is due, and you concentrate most of your time on your individual assignment. The paper takes longer than you thought, and you are unable to conduct research for the group project by the deadline. You feel bad about this and do not respond to inquiries from group members. You post a message to the group explaining you are having computer problems. The group expresses their empathy and proceeds without you, completing and submitting the project with your name included.

A position opens in your department at work. You recommend to a coworker and friend in another department that she should apply. You previously consulted with this person on small projects, and she appears knowledgeable ND responsible. In fact, you became friends through these work contacts. Your friend appreciates your recommendation and arranges a meeting to ask you more details about the work done by your department. The meeting is productive, and your friend takes notes to help with the application process.

Your friend stops by your desk a few days later to thank you for your help, because the application was long and detailed. She confides that some of the information she included on the application is not entirely accurate. Some of her work experience did not match the job requirements and needed to be reworded for a better fit. Your friend thanks you again and says, “l hope w?al be working together soon! ” Part A: Write five questions you need to ask yourself to help you think through the situation and determine a course of action. 1. My aptitude result was that I find myself working well where there is success. By applying the skills have practiced and using them on the problem I can use them on. Being well resourced, expert, and supportive were exactly what would be in a work place or wherever am at. I do find myself being these three results because I know I can. Describe your capacity to resolve complex situations and solve problems based on your results. It depends on the type of situation. For me to take on a problem I first sit down and think things through. Rather go for a problem that has a plan than to go for one that doesn’t and just wing it. Solving a problem I brainstorm the different ways I can solve it and is there going to consequence. Sometimes solving a problem can be very stressful but I don’t get nervous breakdowns I sit down and I think things through.

Once the problem is solved look over my notes and strategies to see if I did everything the way it should have been done and when it is I feel relieved. What are you strengths and weaknesses in the area of reasoning and critical thinking? Some of my strengths is the ability to multicast, communication, and prioritize and multicast enables these tasks to be accomplished accurately and successfully. Life at home has many tasks, taking care of the dog, making ere the house is clean, cutting the lawn, cleaning the cars, fixing the house if needed, daily chores.

While working in a team environment whether at school or on the job, the ability to multicast can be a very helpful skill for the group. I work very well with all kinds of people and I understand that everyone has different priorities and objectives. One of weaknesses in the area of reasoning and critical thinking is rationalizing. Tend to start with a position I already know and look for reasons to support it. I also find sources that agree with me without looking at the other ones. How will understanding this help you In both your academic life and workplace?

By understanding this it will help me in my academic life and workplace, in so many different ways. It will help me be successful and more accurate in what I do. It will help me understand and evaluate situations more clearly not just looking over it but actually paying attention to it. It will help me and guide me to be better at what I am doing. The more people get involved in a work place the more solutions there will be. I know that by understanding this it will help me both in my academic life and work place.
