(Could be animal or human) In Hinduism, there are two major principles. They are dharma and karma. Dharma is ones moral duty and karma is the good or bad force formed by a person’s actions. He believed and taught that salvation comes from knowing the Four Noble Truths and going the way of the Eightfold Path. Hinduism and Buddhism share some beliefs. For example, reincarnation. They both believed that one will be reborn and if they did well in their previous life, they ill have a better life in their new life.
One of their differences would be the caste system. The Hindus had a caste system were the only way to move higher is to fulfill your dharma and be reincarnated into a higher caste. Buddha felt that the caste system was meaningless. It did not matter what caste you are in; any person can reach nirvana. In addition, Buddha taught that the Hindus Veda (sacred writings) was not sacred. Certain animals are sacred to the Hindus because of reincarnation.
That is cause it could have been a person that was reincarnated into that animal’s body. As time went on Buddhism Split into two groups. One group was called Tetrahedral; they followed the traditional beliefs of Buddhism. The other group was called Mahayana; they thought of Buddha as a god and savior.
