Global Warming Assignment

Global Warming Assignment Words: 595

It is due mostly to the release of greenhouse gases (Eggs) into the atmosphere by human-fuelled activities such as increased fossil fuel consumption leading to the release of carbon dioxide CO), the increasing use of automobiles, the use of nitrogen based fertilizers, and rearing and breeding large methane-belching cattle. He also said that greenhouse gases occur naturally within the atmosphere at levels that are not detrimental to the environment According to Shah (201 3), many of these greenhouse gases are actually life-enabling, for without them, heat would escape back into space and the Earth’s average temperature would be a lot colder.

However, if the greenhouse effect becomes stronger, then more heat gets trapped than needed, and the Earth might become less habitable for unmans, plants and animals (Shah, 2013). Eggs such as carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, water vapors, chlorofluorocarbon, hydro fluorocarbon, methane and ozone have the ability to absorb infrared radiation from the Earth’s surface therefore shifts the heat balance of the Earth (Benson, 2012). According to Ketchum (2014), there are numerous causes of global warming, and scientists typically divide those causes into two primary groups: natural causes and man-made causes. Causes of Global Warming’ (n. D. ), states that Scientists spent decades looking into natural cycles and events that are now to affect climate to figure out what is causing global warming. According to Ketchum (2014), natural causes have been contributing to global warming since before recorded history. Natural causes include sunspots, arctic tundra, permafrost and water vapor. But the amount and pattern of warming that’s been measured can’t be explained by these factors alone (“Causes of Global Warming,” n. The only way to explain the pattern is to include the effect of the greenhouse gases being emitted by humans. “Causes of Global Warming” (n. D. ) mentioned that there are several greenhouse gases expansible for global warming and humans emit them in a variety of ways. Many human activities ranging from industry, transportation, power stations, agriculture, fossil fuel development and usage, to residential and commercial activities have led to the production of high amounts of greenhouse gases.

Of these activities, agriculture contributes the largest amount of methane (40 percent) and nitrous oxide (62 percent), while the combination of industrial processes, power stations, fossil fuel processing and development, with residential and commercial activities contributing over 82 percent of the total arbor dioxide produced by the entire human activities (“Causes of Global Warming,” n. D. ). “Environmental Effects of Global Warming” (n. D. Notes that global warming affects every aspect of life on Earth. It’s becoming a big problem as people move to the 21 SST century and beyond. Increases in temperature, even in small increases, can do a lot of damage. Changes in temperature will disrupt water cycles. Some areas will get more precipitation, some will get less. An increase in temperature of a few degrees will lead to the melting of glaciers and sea ice. This then will lead to rising of ocean levels that would damage coastal cities and islands.

It would also cause a disruption in different species living in the ocean and increase the levels of some diseases, especially ones carried by mosquitoes, which thrive in warm climates (“Environmental Effects of Global Warming,” n. D. ). “Environmental Effects of Global Warming” (n. D. ) believes that in order to stop global warming, much has to be done. Although, it is hard to reverse once the process has started, global warming has to be stopped if humans want to live like they are now. Humans contribute a big amount of Eggs in the atmosphere.
