Environmental Pollution Assignment

Environmental Pollution Assignment Words: 924

There are three main branches how we are destroying our environment the air pollution, water pollution and soil contamination. I chose this topic because I find it very important because it affects our environment, and not only that, indeed, we affect it and the consequences that could arise destroy our home planet. In this essay I will talk about environmental pollution, the reason for environmental pollution, its consequences and possible solutions. Trying to generate some environmental awareness in society.

Air elution in large scale influences and effects our planet causing this pollution have lead to many respiratory problems. The bad news though is that “The high cost of air pollution is strikingly illustrated in its damaging effects on the human body. Besides the unpleasantness of irritated eyes and scratchy throats, it presents a threat to the respiratory tract, contributing to a number of serious diseases” (The Cause and Effect of Air Pollution). Not only is air pollution very expensive to resolve, but also the most important aspect is that it is killing and harming lives daily.

In the United State the effects of air pollution have not yet truly had a fatal effect as Mexico, which is one of the countries that is suffering for this problem. “Air pollution has been shown to cause grave respiratory infections in children and chronic bronchitis in adults. It has also been shown to worsen the condition of people with preexisting heart or lung disease” (Mishear 2003). Many people have suffered with major air pollution problems, and in some cases have led to the death of many of these innocent people. Second, as we all know water is essential for life. Without water we could to exist.

In this case as human beings we have been destroying our ecosystem without taking any measures to prevent pollution in our rivers and seas. For instance, Substances such as chemical waste, petroleum, and especially the different detergents we use in everyday life can contaminate surface water and soil when mixed in any of the stages of the water cycle. According to the scientist “chemical contamination happens when organic products such as detergents, fatty acids and inorganic ions as sulfates, phosphates, nitrates, chlorides and bicarbonates among others, are thrown into the water.

The main water pollutants are industrial waste, the use of agricultural pesticides and fertilizers” (Keller, and Revving) There are many reasons why we should think about not polluting our rivers and seas to the effect that this has on our lives at large and not only affects us humans also to all living things and it is there where we destroy our planet. Also, despite the importance of water, humans have continued to pollute such important resource and now, we suffer the consequences of our actions.

For example, if we can remember in Japan the nuclear industry accident has leaked tons of intimidated water and we don’t know yet the how this problem will affect our life and the earth. According to (Monika Union) many countries around the world have stopped importing Japanese fish as a precaution. Several countries, including the United States and China, have banned food imports from the Fuchsia area, and India has banned the entry of any Japanese food for a period of three months.

Third, there are many causes that pollute the soil, many times we pollute our soil that we provide both fruit crops and vegetables. What causes soil pollution? Industrial wastes, such as harmful gases and Heimlich, agricultural pesticides, fertilizers and insecticides are the most important causes Of soil pollution. For example, the use of chemicals used pesticides and farmers to maintain their crops outside the reach of the same causes insects land soil deterioration.

Moreover, often are used to pull all the trash on the ground as liquids, plastic and sometimes radioactive substance’s. For example, “Detergents get into the soil from homes and factories. Most of them get broken up quickly, but if a lot of detergent gets into the soil it may cause foaming and it may also poison plants and other paving things in the soil you learned that living things in the soil make the soil rich by decaying dead bodies and helping life cycles. Without living things the soil becomes poor and unproductive” (Airways).

In brief, it is very important that people make awareness of pollution it produces. And that affects not only our city, but also our country or our world. The authorities must take charge and stay abreast of the gravity of the situation. But above all encourage our children to love nature, healthy living and protecting her. It may not be easy to reduce now, emissions of carbon dioxide, deforestation, eater pollution, etc. However, if it is easier for children to get used to not use the car if you do not need, to care water, to be recycled.

And maybe by tomorrow, soon, to breath clean air in our world. There are many ways that we can prevent the environment pollution on earth we should care more about this planet because it’s the only one we have must reduce the use of pesticides and fertilizers in agricultural activities. Also, we should avoid buying packages items as they will lead to garbage and end up in landfill site. We should do Organic gardening and eat organic food that will be grown without the use of pesticides.
