Why study accounting in Singapore Accounting is the course which is available in almost every university around the world. However, have strong reasons why I decide to have my further education and pursue my dream in Singapore. By choosing to study accounting in Singapore, not only being able to receive high standard and all- rounded education, I will also have an opportunity to learn, understand and appreciate cultural differences. First of all, Singapore is reputed for excellent and comprehensive education system.
The universities in Singapore have been ranked among the top in the world. There are also many professional instructors in various fields. Programs in business schools in my field of interest here are also in the top ranking such as NUNS, SUM and NUT. The education system in Singapore allows students to think creatively and flexibly and teach them useful skills by giving students an opportunity to express their opinions and share with classmates or teachers.
In the future I can also apply the essential knowledge hat learn from the classes for example if I am an accounting instructor, will teach my students that knowledge or even I work in the business firm, I can use it as my guideline. Because of the way of thinking which I experience in classes, I will be able to think differently or create new ideas which are very vital and useful. When start my career, these capacities can be applied to my assignments.
Secondly, Singapore adopted full accrual accounting standards named International Public Sector Accounting Standards (PIP’S) aims to improve the laity of general purpose financial reporting and increase transparency and accountability. Therefore, while studying in the university, I will have an opportunity to learn how to comprehend its aims. Since my understanding of the standards will be beneficial for me when I come back to my country because I can apply what I have learned which are Singapores accounting standards and transparency in working to be my model when working in Thailand.
If I comply with these standards, my assignments will be accepted ND recognized by international firms or institutes which mean they meet worldwide standards. Finally, Living in a multi cultural county like Singapore gives me many benefits. When I live in Singapore, will get to know and associate with people from different countries and different backgrounds. This helps me understand and appreciate different beliefs and mindsets that people from different places hold. As such, this allows me to become more of a global citizen who can work in any work environments with people from different places.
The work mobility that could earn from Singapore unlocks great opportunity for me in my future career and could finally realize my dream to work overseas in an international environment. In conclusion, it can be seen that study accounting in Singapore is a like a stepping stone for me to succeed in my career life in the future. I decide to take the accounting course in Singapore because of its high standard of education, international accounting standards and cultural differences. That is why I truly desire to fulfill my education and cultural experiences in Singapore.
