We look for It to change, and improve, what has come before it. Technology is the set of means without which certain kinds of constructive activity would be almost impossible. It supports our efforts to appeal to different learning styles, which give us a way to interact with each other and extend the learning experiences.

It is a good way to extend the essential skills and knowledge of students. By integrating technology Into our educational programs It provides students with additional tools to enhance their learning. Technology allows us to demonstrate teaching strategies and also provide teachers with skills to succeed in the classroom. It changes the structure and the manor in which we learn. Such technologies used in education from the past, present and beyond are the typewriter, computer games, Internet, and communication.

Technology and Education (the relationship) The relationship between technology and education can be characterized as a process of change and innovation. In the beginning societies depended on oral immunization then the written language was developed. Making an alphabet made learning to read and write much easier then in the past. As technologies of written language became prevalent and more people became literate social structures formed. The next big step towards a better education was the industrial revolution.

The technology that occurred during the revolution created a need for workers In the newly created factories shifting learning to prepare kids to work In such factories. Technologies such as the typewriter and printing press made it easier to make documents instead of doing them by hand. Next was the computer, which requires some skill to use. Technology is progressing while changing the teaching approach to get students to learn how to learn. Students have to learn how to use a program before they can even be ready to be taught.

The history of the relationship between education and technologies Is repetitive. Education will change with the technologies and progress. The future relationship will most likely be one In which technology creates a new form of education, while education makes the development of a new technology. As new technology continues to be created the education system will adapt. While we may not be able to predict exactly how the education system will change in the future, it is safe to say that technology will be the driving force behind those changes.

History of Technology (Tools and Devices) In the sass’s the idea of public schools were first being established. Teachers would stand in front off room and Just talk. Because of these programs, students are able to focus more time on the interpretation of data, which leads to more time students are involved in higher learning processes.

Students get to see the big picture and they have the opportunity to learn more in-depth about different subjects. As the growth of computers raised so did more ideas to improve them such as the Internet. Computers and the Internet have created a place to earn about anything at any time of the day. It is amazing to think of what our children will be able to learn through computers in the future. The generations to come have so much at their fingertips than our grandparents did years ago. Today, we can have class online without seeing our professors face to face and it doesn’t make a difference! For our early students such as elementary ages there are plenty of learning games and programs that positively teach our children how to read, type, and figure out mathematical equations.

There are thousands of these programs to buy Just by the click of a mouse. Computers have created a new eave of learning that makes it easier and faster for teachers and students. Just think, what would you do in college without a computer or the Internet? Most college students today would say they would fail out in a second. This proves the impact computers have on our generation and generations to come. Computers have made our lives easier in so many ways it is sometimes hard to believe what we do without them.

Computers have developed so much in what they have to offer children, students, and all ages of people in society. Starting out with Just a resource for word processing, computers have now gained the ability to contain many programs in inventing teaching techniques, and learning. Teachers Learning Tools Today the Internet is the most widely used device in our society. It serves as incredible amounts of purpose to our culture. Educators in early childhood education and child development fields can use the technological capacitate of the Internet to expand the boundaries of the classroom and enrich the learning experiences of their students. The Internet is a vast system of computer outworks that exchange electronic data, thereby facilitating communication and access to information. One way that teachers can use the Internet as a teaching device is using it as an educational opportunity for students based on their abilities and interests?

Another way the Internet can be helpful as a teaching device is that it is a doorway to so much information out there in the world. Information on any subject, in any matter is at the fingertips of students. Years ago this information was not easily accessible, so the opportunity to learn new things were more limited. One can use the Internet as a teaching device in many ways. A teacher can give an assignment to o on the web and look up something in particular. In doing so the student will come across hundreds of sites related to one topic, the information at hand is immense.

Reading through articles and web sites alone will expand the mind of someone in search of learning. Not only is information so easy to learn, but the news, and current events are surrounding students at all times on the web. In using the Internet, one can learn how to find the right information, the right way. Students need access to greater resources to draw upon their learning or research, and the Internet itself can achieve this goal. Another advance in computers that is used as a teaching tool still involves the Internet, and that is communication. Communication is a beneficial learning device.

It can help people communicate ideas, opinions, and knowledge. Children can learn more when they see things through other people. In today’s societies someone can play a game on the computer with someone across the world. A pen pal can be made with a child from a country around the world that a student has never heard of. In this process so much more is learned then Just the concrete subjects in a classroom. It opens up so many doors to opportunities. Another point is that students can interact. Students in the same class can talk to one another about assignments, work, and subject matters.

Knowing assignments, and working on information together, makes things more enjoyable, which in return more learnable. Throughout the Internet there is “instant messaging” which enables people to talk to one another, this is very popular, and brings about great help in developing language, typing skills, and social skills. Communication is such a strong teaching tool, and the computer has evolved so much over the years that it brings this to people in helping to learn. When hey are communicating on the web, they are continuously typing, spelling words, and continually reading.

This is definitely a benefit in learning. Electronic mail (e- mail) has proven to be valuable in many ways. Information gets around faster, and communication with people is tightened and strong through this device. Communication is a very strong tool that comes with the Internet. It brings people together, breaks a lot of ties, enhances the learning process, and continues to be a Education exists for the benefit of society, so technology needs to be part of education if it is to truly benefit today’s society. The needs of society and education have directly impacted how technology is used in classrooms.

In today’s global economy, the need for students to be technology literate means that the schools need to find ways to meet this need. In today’s high- stakes testing reality, there is not much room for schools to experiment with different technology possibilities while meeting the standards. In order for the schools to adequately prepare the students for the future economy, the economy needs to invest in the schools and work as a team.
