In this paper I will discuss the Theory, the early stages, the training, the middle stages, the late stages, the selection Process and how to avoid being made. As time goes by the undercover police officer will achieve his goal and have criminals arrested and crimes in middle and high schools will diminished. Police officers in uniformed may be assigned to perform any type of work within the police department while they are in uniform, but the one job assignment that a police uniform is not needed is working undercover. The need for undercover policeman in our schools has grown throughout years. Today in the economy, middle and high schools have basically become a breathing ground for criminals to conduct their business transactions. Ranging from gang violence, drugs, theft, assault, aggravated assaults, sexual assaults, and some cases murder.

With the resources that schools administrations have available, an undercover agent may be put in place at the school without anyone knowing to include the staff. Parents need to understand anything and everything will be done to protect the students and staff while attending school. This is a very serious matter; we have students getting robbed in the parking lots, assaulted in the bathrooms, in the hallways, and etc… When you look into the students eyes you can tell they walk in fear.

They are too afraid to tell staff when something bad is going on, believing that they will face retaliation from the students that committing crimes on the school campus. With the addition of the undercover policeman who will be doing the leg work and investigation, trying to gather information about anything illegal activities on campus. Schools suppose to be a safe environment will student can come to learn and earn their education. You ask yourself why a teacher or a member of the administration would allow themselves to get acquainted or be in the company of known members on the school campus who participate in criminal activities.

Teachers have been accused of running drugs rings, bringing in and giving student’s alcohol, money, and sustain a sexual relationship with some of the students. It has been said working undercover in a high school, environment dealing with the opposite gender would able the policeman together more information, and get the lowdown on the criminal acts in questions. At the same time you would haft to be very careful, remember you will be dealing with teenagers and who will in return take kindness for weakness. As an undercover policeman there are several values that are put into respect.

Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage, these are the values that every policeman will honor and live by when performing their duties. In time the undercover policeman will slowly forget his first role being a police officer and fixated with his present assignment. The officer superiors may bring in another undercover officer to replace you, so that you may assume your respectful place and resume the values of a police officer. Arrogance will set in and you may easily be misguided to do something wrong.

The department and criminals could see the change in you, where you than begin to make decisions that could harm you. . .
