As our contribution to the emergent Information Society we hope you find this resource useful in providing you information and knowledge, you require on ICT policies. The pervasiveness and importance of ICTs throughout the economy and society can’t be ignored. ICT4D is about making ICT real and meaningful. How is the growing importance of knowledge reflected in meeting national goals? How can people move from being “passive passengers to active drivers”. Is ICT working for some or for all? How can business and ICT eliminate poverty? ICT is growing but is it reflecting in development?
How can the ICT policy challenges be addressed at both national and international levels, and in all sectors? How will ICT best be used to address innovation, entrepreneurship, development problems/strategies and the digital divide? ICT4D or just ICT? ICT has so much promise, it’s time to deliver!
