While taking pictures of the roads and park and some other things we had no problem except some residents asking what were we doing. While taking pictures of the guard room, located near Gate-I , the guards asked why were we taking pictures. We gave them the reason, they talked to each other and said we could continue, one of them requested us to take a picture of him. While working on the noise pollution point a special incident took place, when e were observing the under construction site was that we were not allowed to take any photos or make any sort of criticism involving the area that was under developed.

We were treated as journalists and with hostility. However we managed to take some photos. Other than these small problems we were fine doing the other works, interviews were appreciated and residents were supportive. Garbage Disposal in the Neighborhood The garbage disposal dustbin is located on the left side of the main gate, right on top of lane-4. The dustbin is a 200 sq/Ft brick room where the garbage is disposed. The dustbin is cleaned six times a week, 3 days in the morning & 3 days in the evening.

The problems resulting from the particular location of the dustbin is: There’s a very bad odor around the dustbin which is irritating for the people passing by and also for the houses located around the dustbin. [Pica] Garbage collection from the houses starts at 6 in the morning and carries on till noon. It is right beside the park, so people can park there cars in the park, parking.

There is not much traffic congestion as because it is a small area, and outside cars are not allowed inside and rickshaws arena also allowed. The problems of having just one shop in the area is that, not everything is available in the shop and people have to go out of the area, to get their supplies. There are a few shops located just outside the main gate of D. O. H. S. Residents go there to get there necessities. Residents we interviewed for this matter said it is a problem, that they have to go outside there area to get the basic necessities, they also said it is necessary to have a few more shops in he area.

But some of the residents showed satisfaction and said more shops might make the place more crowded and it’s good the way it is. The shops located outside the main gate. The basic rent of these shops starts from TX. 15000 and onwards. Residents of the area were seen buying necessities such as vegetables and fruits as shown in the picture above. Because there is no grocery shop outside the particular area people tend to come here. Residents also showed satisfaction for having a small vegetable market just outside their area.
