World War 2? And how it left many people traumatized. For thousands of years there have been a constant rigorous struggle between the powerful and the powerless. There have been numerous amounts of arguments relating to people taking sides. The issue of asylum seekers being one of them. Wars happen globally everyday. Some being so bad that some are forced to leave their homes in order to seek safety. So what better place to seek refuge, than a country that has freedom. The Asylum Seekers first reaction to war is to leave their homes.
Although they are doing something illegal they Just want o save their lives. They completely disregard their fight responsive action and go straight to flight. The Government’s however do not take the asylum seekers into consideration and send them back to the war ridden country. Government’s continuously abuse the power that they do have. Due to the influence of the media and the government, people have taken sides regarding the asylum seekers. Imagine you’re a Muslim walking on the streets of America recently after the bombing of the Twin Towers.
You’ve recently lost your family and you’re all alone with nowhere to go. Wherever you go some people look at you with disgust on their face blaming you, others look at you with grief feeling sorry for you. What was once a normal day in New York came to be known as one of the most tragic days in the US history. September 11, 2001 will always be a day people will talk about. One of the most common topics talked about concerning 9/1 1, are the numerous attacks on Muslims. The fact that the US Government could actually be willing to terrorize its civilians for their own unique gain?
Due to the influence of the media and the government, people have taken sides on the matter regarding the 9/1 1 bombings. Picture this. You’re standing in front of your bathroom mirror. Tissue in your right hand and a “clear blue” pregnancy test in the other. You glance down. It’s positive. You cannot get an abortion, the law forbids it. Every day a hundred and fifteen thousand children are dying through abortion. A hundred and fifteen thousand. That means that five thousand children would die every hour. All those lives… Gone.
What if I told you that, right now, someone was choosing if you were going to live or die? What if I told you that this choice wasn’t based on what you could or couldn’t do, what you’d done in he past or what you would do in the future? And what if I told you… You could do nothing about it? In the end it is the women’s body and they should be allowed to have an abortion if they want to or not and people should be t No one knows how long a war will last or how it will affect our lives. It occurs due to conflict between Conflict By sesames creates an uncertainty about the future.
War today poses a new kind of threat, which may make you feel more afraid, insecure and vulnerable as a result of concerns that the world could be attacked again. Someone with previous experience in war or other hypes of conflict may unexpectedly recall distressing thoughts and feelings from their previous experiences. Those of us who have family and friends in the reserves or military may worry over their well being, however, emotional pain and sadness are common when we have suffered major trauma or personal loss in a time of war.
Wars happen for a reason, take World War 2 for example, Germany was provoked into starting the war which caused conflict between countries and due to this is caused countries to pick sides which they will be fighting for. As you can see, asylum seekers shouldn’t be mistreated or vilified. They have escaped atrocious conditions and circumstances and should be welcomed with open arms; rather than being sent back, the constant attacks on Muslims Just because of the media ‘s influence on the citizens. You cannot control a women’s body, because you do not own it.
If they want to have an abortion let them because it is their choice and that wars can occur out of nowhere but in the end it is them that suffered major trauma of what they had experienced. We need to remember that conflict can take many forms, it shape-shifts and moulds itself into any situation, we shouldn’t be Judgmental, indifferent bigots. We need to stand together as fellow human beings and citizens, to ensure that the government of the people, does not fail its citizens and stand against all forms of injustice.
This is a speech from my point of view discussing how everyone has a point of view. This piece reflects on how people will always take a side. This piece is written in a persuasive and creative form, a hybrid. Its purpose is that every human being a point of view and is always going to take a side and not stay neutral. The language I have used is formal, and is somewhat persuasive. My tone is a serious tone, as I feel that his is suitable for what I am trying to convey. My audience would be the general public.
This allows me a greater opportunity to inform people about the issue. I have structure this piece using the six-point plan. My ideas were how people would eventually; in regards to asylum seekers take a side whether it is the side of the government or the side of the asylum seekers and how the citizens took whether the US Government’s side or the Muslims side. My ideas also included the sides taken in regards to the oppression of women and how during world war two countries all joined the sides they want to fight with.
