There are many substantial and vital similarities between the people of Judaism relationship with God and the people of Christianity relationship with God. Of course, there are a few differences between these two religions as well. These differences are what make two separate religions. Christianity emerged from the religion of Judaism through the figure of Jesus Christ. Jesus was originally a Hebrew, but became the founder of the new religion known as Christianity. Emerging from Judaism, Christianity and Judaism, therefore, have many similarities.
The major similarity between the people of Judaism relationship with God and the people of Christianity relationship with God is that both are strongly believe in Monotheism. Monotheism is the belief or doctrine in one eternal god. The Hebrews still believe that God is their special protector and he means everything to him. The truly believe that God is the most powerful figure and is always present throughout life. Christians accept the belief that God created everything. It is written in the bible that God is all-knowing.
The Christians believe that God is omniscient and that he knows all possible outcomes of all possible creations of all possible universes. Christians feel that God is responsible for the creation of our universe and has chosen what its destiny will be. This also means that He has also chosen the paths of our individual lives. Due to the fact that both Judaism and Christianity are Monotheistic, both of the religion’s believers express their faith in a relationship with one, true god.
Another similarity between Judaism and Christianity believer’s relationship with God is that both religions feel that God will send a special savior to save those who have sinned. The Christian religion believes that Jesus Christ was a messiah, the promised and expected deliver of the world. The Christians also believe that Jesus will return again on the Final Day of Judgment. Similar to the Christian faith, Judaism also believes that a hero will arrive; however, the Jewish faith feels that Jesus Christ was not the messiah of God.
The reason why Jews believe this is because they feel that God would not send such a powerful figure in a human-like form. Although Judaism does not believe that Jesus Christ was the messiah of God, they do share the life with Christianity that a messiah figure will emerge. This concept, that a savior will eventually come from God, is a central theme throughout both religions. In each case, the people of both religions believe that there is a higher being that governs their existence.
A third and final similarity is that each religion’s followers believe in a holy book that contains many similar teachings. For example, both religions believe in the teachings of the first five books of the Moses, which include Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteron. Along with these teachings, both Christians and Jews believe in the Ten Commandments. All these famous documents make up a collection in the Judaism religion called the Torah or Hebrew Bible.
The Christian religion labels all these documents the Holy Bible. The evidence of all these documents that Judaism and Christianity have in common shows a similarity. These documents show that the people of both religions believe that they have been assigned by God specific laws and duties to follow. It is clear that although Judaism and Christianity are two separate religions, there are any important similarities between the people of Judaism relationship with God and the people of Christianity relationship with God.
The first, major similarity is that they both express their faith and respect to one, eternal God. The second is that they both strongly feel that God will send an important messiah to save those who have sinned. This belief shows that the people in each religion feel that there is a higher being that manages their existence. The third and final similarity is that the followers of both religions feel that God has assigned them certain guidelines and duties to fulfill. There are many religions in this world and all are extremely unique.
It is vital to respect all the other religions throughout this world. Each religion enables humans to find answers and gain a better understanding of this world through the figure of God. The importance of religion lies primarily in the moral aspect of man’s existence. Religion holds significance in man’s life because man knows himself to be morally obliged to acknowledge and respond, in the most appropriate manner, to the great bounties and privileges that God has awarded upon him.
