This is the prompt, From the beginning of the play, we are told that Romeo and Juliet are victims of fate, starched lovers whose deaths are unavoidable. Do you think this is true? Could their deaths have been avoided? Or are they victims of fate? What would be a thesis that monochrome and Juliet were infatuated teenagers that could have avoided death by not giving in to their desires. Romeo and Juliet were victims of fate only due to the fact that they tempted fate.
They were typical of today’s teenagers, don’t really know what love is and aloes of the other and as a revolt to their parents chose to die rather then to grow up and accept real life the way it is with its ups and downs and disappointments. Passes the idea of being victimized by fate, or that their deaths could have been avoided? The essay is about who to blame for the tragedy, Romeo and gullet’s death.. I chose Romeo.. Because of his excessive love and rashness.. His is my thesis statement: Romeos undue affection for Juliet brought out his impulsive side, triggering him to make decisions without sighing his aspects thoroughly and therefore, leading to the ultimate tragedy of the play, their untimely deaths. Sounds good?!? Well, I need to restate it for the first sentence of my conclusion .. Eve been trying to think how but I can’t seem to do it.. Help!! 🙂 thanks.. L am writing an analytical essay for Romeo and Juliet about how fate controlled their relationship.
Here is what I have. Fate, working as both a friend and foe, may bring one joy and happiness, while bringing sadness and despair upon another. In the play Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare, fate controls the outcome of the story. The story takes place in Verona, Italy, where two feuding families, the Montages and the Capsules, dominate the territory with their disputes. Romeo, of the Montages, and Juliet, of the Capsules, meet and fall in love with each other.
However, the feud between their families forces them to hide their relationship from their parents, causing them to make rash and unadvised decisions. The tragedy of Romeo and Juliet is placed upon the hands of fate, their only source of guidance in their relationship. The last sentence is the thesis statement that have, but it isn’t very good. Can someone help me come up with a better one? And also, if it isn’t too much trouble, can you also proof it? I really need an A on this essay. Btw, I’m a freshman in high school writing our final essay Of the year) Thank you for your help. =)The problem with the thesis statement you need an opinion and at least facts to back it. It’s so important to make to good points because the rest of your essay is going to be shaped around this one little sentence. So o have your opinion-Fate is their only source of guidance in their relationship- This is what you are going to argue so now you need to think of two examples that prove this is true.
When you are finished with your thesis it can read something like this- In the tragedy Romeo and Juliet, it appears that the relationship between Romeo and Juliet is guided completely by the hand of fate when (1 SST example from book) and (2nd example from book) The rest of your essay should flow easily after this because the two main points from your thesis will make up the concrete sentences in the body paragraphs.
