All religious occasions, elections and family elaborations are manifested in a noisy manner. The chief man-made sources in urban areas are automobiles, factories, industries, trains and airplanes. Noise makers are horns, sirens, musical instruments, TV, VS., radio, transistor, telephone, dogs, loud speakers, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, food mixers, grinders, pressure cookers, fans, coolers and water pumps. Prevention of sound pollution Sound pollution has been defined as an unpleasant sound coming out of human, animals or machine that disturbs one’s activity.

Most of the outdoor sound pollution heard on a regular basis comes out mainly a from instruction and transportation system, that includes sound from motor vehicle, aircrafts and rails. Indoor noise pollution is caused due to home appliances, music systems, barking dogs and loud people. Improper urban planning can also result to sound pollution if both industrial and residential buildings are being built side by side resulting in sound pollution in the residential area. ; Avoid loud music, as it will hurt not only your ears but also of those living with you along with your neighbors. Avoid firecrackers as they are extremely noisy as well as produces air pollution. Try not to burn them unnecessarily. ; Eve icicles also produce lot of sound especial Ii with their horns. So avoid honking as much as possible in areas like hospitals and ; Turn off your car or motorbike engines whenever not in use as campuses. It produces sound that is really disturbing. It will also save energy and reduce air pollution. ; Keep mobiles phones in silent mode as and when you are in a meeting, conference, classroom, hospitals etc, as it not only disturbs you but also annoys people around you.

These days sound pollution has reach a very high level. Wherever you go here are noise, noise and more noise. Noise has become an environmental pollution, which is a serious concern as it prevents people from enjoying their surroundings. For a sound health, you need peace and quiet environment which is a luxury in today’s life. Sound pollution not only annoys you but also disrupts you emotionally, but can sometimes cause health problems. It also affects animals and their environment. Modern technology has brought with it good as well as bad things. As the world is advancing day by day, sound pollution also increasing at a very high speed.
