The hazard’s were facing discrimination from different ethnic groups, precisely from the Pasha’s. Afghanistan is located in the Middle East as most people know but to be exact, it’s described as Ewing located with South Asia or Central Asia. 3. There are many sorts or types of conflicts that appear in the text, Physical conflict appears between the Taliban and the Afghans Government which results in war and many innocent deaths of civilians, International conflict includes war between the communists and the munched. . Ninja describes home as obviously his country or his place where he grew up, his family that he misses, Ninja explains how its bitterly cold when arriving in Australia and how the feeling is quite different then being at his homeland Afghanistan. Home in the text is Nana’s family and land and all the beautiful surroundings that he misses since arriving in Australia.

Ninja quotes “If I were to fall asleep in the desert of Afghanistan without a soul in sight and somehow wake in the dessert of Whomever, I would know in an instant that I was in a strange place”, even the touch of the air itself was different according to Ninja. 5. Religion plays a major role in a person’s response to conflict, as we see in the text, Nana’s response to conflict differ from other, he believes that his religious beliefs do to require him to go to war in order to murder innocent civilians, instead Ninja believes in peace.

Therefore following a different religion from birth definitely changes an individual’s response to conflict, a person can respond in an aggressive or an angry way, a person might also ignore the conflict and not react at all. “Then there are the unnecessary things like, ‘political part’ and ‘gun and ‘bomb. ‘ Isn’t it strange that the unnecessary things are the most dangerous”? 6. Ninja response to conflict differs from how other individual would respond to conflict such war and irruption in Afghanistan.

In the text we perceive Ninja as a man who seeks and wants peace, Ninja does not believe in war to solve such corruption or political issues in his country, rather, Ninja decided to seek a place where he can be safe and work as a man so later on he can fly his family from Afghanistan to Australia and reunite with them. In the text Ninja was captured and tortured and whipped with cables, however later on, Ninja and his families disbelief got him released, Ninja later on believed that he won’t be lucky the second so he decided to flee Afghanistan and eek a people smuggler to help him get to Australia. . Surviving conflict depends on how a person reacts to such conflicts, an individual’s personal characteristics defines whether they react in an angry way or sometimes a person can be very violent, as for Ninja, we see him reacting in a more mature calm way that’s because en was Door Ana grew up In an unstable environment so en was taught Trot a young age how to react to dangerous conflicts such as war, Ninja reacts to conflict is a calm way as said before, he seeks to find peace not violence, other individuals might react n a violent way reflecting conflict.

I somewhat agree with Nana’s statement that his survival was due to “luck” and “good fortune” but also maybe his religion or belief had something to do with his survival, luck definitely played a huge role for Nana’s survival but I doubt that fortune did as well, considering he wasn’t very wealthy himself. 8. The impact of violence on individuals and communities has long term effects on individuals and the community as a whole, the community would be a place filled with trauma.

Impact of violence can result for a person to experience fear for their rest of their lives, exposure to violence makes people highly sensitive to violence so they try to escape it as much as possible due to lack of control over their emotions after being distraught by war or any other violence. Ninja and his family lives changed due to violence and it impacted on Nana’s family in a negative way.

When Nana’s father was killed, his older brother had to take the responsibility and be the man of the house due to their father’s lose, unfortunately when Nana’s older rather Gorge Ala was also killed, Abdul Ala then had to take responsibility of the house. So that’s how violence impacted the Annals households but it made them come closer as a family. 9. Violence and conflict are two different things but they do relate to each other.

Violence is always negative, because it always causes destruction to both sides in the conflict and a possible agreement become impossible. A conflict can be understood in two ways, in can be negative that’s If it is linked with violence and it can be positive, that’s when a couple or groups express wrought dialogue their opposition, their disagreement, without resorting to violence. 10.

In the text Nana’s perceived the treatment of refugees by the Australian government was not fair, Ninja says that refugees were not treated like normal people but more like criminals. They were expected to know about Australian society which refugees generally don’t have an idea where they ate going and what to expect.
